Mr. Rick Huffman’s Credentials
Rick Huffman, president of PDT-Tech, LLC, is the architect/developer for its product line of P.R.O. SYSTEMSTN. Mr. Huffman is also the training architect/developer for “Progressive Realistic Operations (P.R.O.)”. A comprehensive training concept for safely implementing practical defensive firearm application (and other “ use-of-force” options) progressively through basic skill development to dynamic interactive “live-target” engagements while encompassed within the perimeters of P.R.O. SYSTEMS TN. He has been a stanch advocate of defensive training since 1987 after graduating as an Executive Protection Specialist (pursuant to P.O.E.C. 12-59-102, State of Colorado). From 1987 to 1993 his practical experience had developed through employment in the private sector. Job performances ranging from risk management and threat assessment, to leader of protection details for corporate executives to foreign dignitaries, to the title of corporate security director. Realizing the need and benefit of “reality based training” for the law enforcement, military, and professional security communities, he designed and built (prototype) in1988 the first portable training system consisting of a transportable structure (representing an urban environment, i.e. building), protective equipment, and modified CO2 weapons launching marking projectiles. After years of training development, and refinement to his unique system, he founded PDT (Practical Defense Training) Technologies in 1991, and received in 1993 a U.S. patent for same, He is continuing his commitment to develop products and training, utilizing modern technologies, to provide the end user with the proper perspective of an “actual experience”.
